The National Orthopaedic Hospital, Igbobi, Lagos organized the first Joint Matriculation Ceremony of all the training schools in the Hospital on Thursday, 5th March 2015 at the FECOT Multipurpose Hall. The various schools include: the Federal College of Orthopaedic Technology (FECOT),School of Post Basic Nursing Studies (Accident and Emergency/Orthopaedic Nursing) and Orthopaedic Health Assistant School.
The occasion was declared open by the Chairman of the Hospital Management Board, Dr (Otunba) Gbola Adetunji who enjoined all the matriculants to be focused while studying as well as utilize the facilities in the Hospital to acquire necessary skills needed to succeed in their career.
The Medical Director of the Hospital, Dr. Olurotimi Odunubi implored the matriculating students to obey the laid rules and regulations of the institution/Hospital.
Goodwill messages were delivered by the various School Coordinators and the matriculants also took an oath that they will not engage in any form of misconduct such as examination malpractice, cult activities, drug addiction, possession of dangerous weapons, unruly behavior, violent acts and any other activities that may lead to breakdown of law and order in the Hospital.
The event was well attended by dignitaries, relations, Heads of departments and members of staff.
